Online Poker Challenge with durrrr Just Getting Started

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Full Tilt has just introduced an innovative info site containing all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an incredible online heads up poker tournament presenting some of the most talented high stakes poker players taking on the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The innovative new site offers online poker players and fans the opportunity to follow this incredible internet poker challenge and check out regular statistical updates. With this fresh “durrrr Challenge” website players can view all the action and check out each poker hand played during durrrr Challenge, and get tons of stats, including number of hands played, session time, amount won, average won during each hand and lots more.

Close to six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker pro handed out a heads-up poker challenge for any player with the loot, time and talent to accept it. Any poker pro entering the durrrr challenge has to bet $500,000 against Dwan’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge states that at least 50,000 poker hands need to be played at the same time at 4 or more tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the durrrr challenge, the poker player who has more money will take home the pool. In essence if you enter the Full Tilt Challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 hands, then you will take home Dwan’s $1.5 Million, but if he succeeds by $1 then he will earn your $500,000.

Up to now, some poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including Full Tilt Poker Star Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, however, only Patrick Antonius has said yes to the challenge. At this point, both poker players have completed in a total of 20,647 hands out of 50,000, with Tom durrrr Dwan leading the count $726,546 total.
