A few tips to find the top Sin City hotel and flight offers

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Considering the rising cost of Vegas airline flights, Sin City can be a great weekend getaway if you plan ahead and do some research. It is definitely important to have a clear picture of what you want to do, how long you want to stay, and where you will be spending the night. As long as you have a clear picture of these issues, then your escape to Las Vegas will unquestionably be one to remember.

As far as flights are concerned, this may be the most difficult part to find the best price. Most of the major airlines have reduced their daily flights, due in part to the economic and gas condition in the U.S.. You might consider comparing travel packages from some different companies; one example of these sort of packages might be hotel + flight + car rental for a guaranteed price. You may find in some cases that it is more economical to buy these separately. The difference in cost you may find could be major.

One idea that you may find beneficial is to sign up for e-mail alerts from the Vegas hotels and airlines you are interested in. They will send you an e-mail when their best Vegas hotel deals are available usually two months ahead of time. Also make sure that if you have already booked a Sin City hotel room, continue to check the rates that they are publishing up till the day of your trip. The rates might change so if you see a price cheaper than the one you reserved, try to speak with the manager of the hotel about dropping the cost.

Also keep in mind that tourists heading to Vegas are less these days, Vegas hotels are looking for you. This might be the best opportunity to get online and book a flight and hotel to Las Vegas.

tao
Along with the enormous success of the Tao Las Vegas at the Venetian, the owners of this Sin City nightclub are opening a spanking new Roman/Mediterranean designed restaurant called Lavo located in the Palazzo resort hotel. This ground-breaking idea is designed after the Roman bathhouses of ancient times. A ton of work has gone into the historical accuracy of this Las Vegas nightclub/restaurant and into the little details also.

This Las Vegas restaurant can fit 300 people and features a menu chock full of Mediterranean food. Their menu is designed to encourage the sharing of appetizers and small meals, as opposed to large one-person plates. The restaurant part also has an outdoor patio which can seat 100 visitors and overlooks the famous Las Vegas Strip.

The nightclub area features a state of the art audio and video system while live DJs are always availableto entertain the crowd. The nightclub stays open six nights a week opening its doors at 10:00 pm and closing approximately at 5 am. What the club doesn’t have is a VIP area, to this the creators say is to have a more shared feel.

Lavo always has lots of eye candy for the visitors (especially the male visitors). There is a model continuously bathing herself in the restaurant, female dancers, and other models acting out different historical scenarios. On the patio, you will find a reserve of hookahs with a “hookah master” helping you make the best choice.

This restaurant/nightclub is administered by the same team that inaugurated Tao Las Vegas in the Venetian Hotel Casino in 2005. Ever since the launch of this nightclub it has been one of the most popular clubs in Vegas, frequented mostly by celebrities. Along with the Tao Asian Bistro and Tao Beach, these have been the highest grossing destinations in the U.S. since 2006. This restaurant will be a big hit for The Palazzo Las Vegas. You can already find 3000 top of the line suites, the best shopping stores, and Las Vegas’ best restaurants and nightlife.

The 2009 AVN Awards show will include an incredible amount of categories about websites. A well received addition from the 2008 AVN Adult Show is the addition of an Adult Show After Party. This should be a great opportunity for all the guests to make some new friends.

The AVN Awards show will be a night to remember for everyone watching. 2008 hasn’t proven to be the most profitable year for the adult movie business, bearing in mind the nation’s economy, but with some new movies premiering and new and interesting categories it will absolutely become an awards show for the history books. The 2009 AVN Awards is intended to credit the best moments of adult movies.

Vegas Slot Players are hit hard by rising gas prices

Although all the big casinos are doing all they can to draw more Las Vegas, Nevada visitors this year with discounts and vouchers, their slot machine business is slumping. And while Vegas slot machine business makes up about two thirds of Las Vegas’ income, it’s not such good news for the Sin City casinos.

According to the Gaming Control Board, bettors are betting $1.1 billion less in slot machines than last year. Slot machines on The Strip are down half a billion dollars. This represents a drop of 12% in comparison to 2007. With drivers shelling out more than $4 per gallon for gas, gamblers are really having to count their pennies nowadays. Although with the price of gas on the decline, these figures could change in the coming months.

Vegas casinos aren’t really bothered about this drop in slot machine revenues, the latest reports show that table game play is actually on the rise. On The Strip the volume for Sin City table games is up 5 percent, with baccarat play up 15 percent and blackjack on the rise at 7 percent. Even though this may seem like a good thing, the truth is that Vegas hotel casinos took in 21 percent less in July as a result of some lucky Las Vegas gamblers as well as bettors taking home a larger percentage than typical.

The famous saying, “The house always wins”, might have been the norm in the past. But as these reports tell us, Sin City hotel casinos are having a harder time making a profit than before. This might be the best time for Sin City gamblers to start redeeming their Sin City coupons, taking advantage of rebates, and using their frequent flyer miles. With the Las Vegas hotel casinos having a run of bad luck, this might be the most convenient occasion for you to visit Las Vegas and it’s casinos.
